    Dr. (Eldon) Sloan

    Dentist & Founder

    Dr. Sloan grew up both here in Broadway and on the family farm in Harnett county.  After graduating from Boone Trail High School and Pfieffer college with honors, Dr. Sloan attended UNC Dental School.  Graduating in 1973, Dr. Sloan began work in private practice in Broadway while also serving on UNC's faculty.  With over four decades of practice here in his hometown, Dr. Sloan has had the privilege to serve generations of families and friends.
    Catering to cowards.  Dr. Sloan built his practice on the simple principle that dentistry should not have to hurt.  He is heavily trained in nitrous oxide sedation, anti-anxiety medication, and has developed his own techniques for managing injection pain.
    Dr. Sloan's clinical focus includes:
    Cosmetic dentistry including complete smile makeovers,Artistic dentures and partial denturesGeneral restorative  Crown and Bridge​​Dr. Sloan is heavily involved in our communities including serving as Co-chair of the NC Veterans Memorial, Co-Chair for the NC Disabled Veteran Memorial, and former chair for the development of the Boone Trail Rescue Services.
    Dr. Sloan is married to his better half of almost 50 years, Betsy Sloan. He is moderately proud of his three children (Don, Rebecca, and David) but enormously proud of his seven grandchildren.  In his spare time, he enjoys sculpting and deep devotion to reading every book he can get his hands on.

    Dr. Don (Sloan)

    Dentist & Innovator

    Dr. Don grew up in Harnett County and did his best to escape the siren song of the dental drill.  After an extended stay at Appalachian State, Dr. Don pursued teaching and coaching for several years before attending UNC-CH School of Dentistry.  After graduating in 2007, he joined Dr. Sloan here in Broadway. 

    Dr. Don's clinical areas include:

     pediatric and special needs patients
     same-day digital dentistry for crown and bridge
    weaving tall tales of dubious origin  
     extractions, root canals, and emergency care.
    doing his level best to make you laugh so hard you snort. 
    dental sleep medicine

    Dr. Don is on the CCCC dental advisory board, serves as adjunct faculty for UNC's Dental Sleep Medicine MiniResidency, ​and works with both the NC Baptist Dental Bus and Lee County Helping Hand Clinic.  He also serves as a board member and coach for the Sanford Area Soccer League.

    To everyone's surprise, he is married to the brilliant Dr. Jessica Sloan MD. She has steadfastly refused to admit her mistake and they have three children who thankfully look like their mother.

Brittney Herring

Front Office

Britney became a part of our team in 2016. She grew up in Benson, NC, and graduated from South Johnston High School in 2010. After marrying her husband in November 2015, his job as a Pilot with the NC State Forestry Service moved them to the town of Broadway in 2016. In August of 2018, we were blessed with our son, Owen. She enjoys family time with their cat Smokey and dog Zoey. She also enjoys cooking and shopping in her free time.

LeeAnna Swann

Dental Hygienist

LeeAnna has been working with us since 2012. She graduated from CCCC with her Associates in Dental Hygiene in 2011. She is honored to be able to serve the community in which she lives and was always a goal of hers. Over the last several years her patients have become like family to her. LeeAnna has been married to her husband Adam since 2012 and has a daughter, Gracelynn, who was born in 2013. When she's not busy running her daughter from place to place, she enjoys spending time with her extended family, reading, running, and time at the lake. "I can't wait to see you on your next visit!"

Dental Assistant

Emily graduated from Central Carolina Community College as a dental assistant in 2017. She has been working with us since May of 2018. In September of 2019, Emily and her husband married. They have a yellow lab named Clyde that is four years old. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and shopping

Kyler Coats

Dental Assistant

Kyler graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Wake Tech Community College in the Summer of 2019. She and her husband, Zeb, just recently got married in the middle of the pandemic, September 2020. Together, they have a dog named Chloe, who is a four-year-old beagle. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Debra Gillis

Dental Hygienist

Debra grew up in Broadway attending Broadway School all 12 years and went on to Wayne Community College in Goldsboro where she achieved her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene and began working with us 44 years ago. She married her high school sweetheart a month before she began working, which moved her 3 miles from Broadway to his family farm where they still reside. They were blessed with two beautiful children and two grandchildren. Debra is a lifetime member of Broadway United Methodist Church, enjoys crafting, and is the owner of Broken Plow Farm

Linda Parson

Front Desk & Billing

Linda has been with us since May of '88. She was born and raised in Sanford and graduated from Sanford Central High school. Her and her husband, Jerry, married in 1974 and have shared 46 years of marriage together. Linda's family includes her son Wayne and his wife Tracey, along with her daughter Jill. In her spare time, she enjoys working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She also enjoys traveling and hopes to visit Hawaii one day.

Front Office

Laura joined our front office team in Spring 2021. She grew up in South Carolina and then she moved to Broadway NC in the Summer of 2004 with her husband. They have 2 dogs named Brutus & Crinkle and a tabby cat named Tom. In her free time, she enjoys riding four-wheelers and spending time with her fur babies.
